Craig Chval brings nearly 20 years of
prosecutorial experience on behalf of The Chval Law Firm’s
clients. As the Chief of the High Tech and Computer Crime Unit in
the Office of Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon, Craig
prosecuted cases involving computer evidence throughout Missouri.
He also advised dozens of prosecuting
attorneys and investigators on computer investigations and
conducting lawful searches and seizures of computers and other
computing devices. Craig also played a central role in helping the
Attorney General’s Office update its policies regarding electronic
data management and electronic discovery. Craig’s high level of
expertise is reflected by the groups that have invited him to make
educational presentations, including:

Craig is also the author of the “Digital Evidence” chapter in
the current edition of the Missouri Bar deskbook Evidence, 5th
edition. He served four years as an original member of the
National Steering Committee for the FBI’s Regional Computer
Forensic Laboratory (RCFL) program.
